Artefill® Dermal Filler

Overview

Artefill® is the first and only FDA approved microsphere-enhanced collagen filler for the correction of nasolabial folds, better known as smile lines.

Unlike temporary muscle paralytics and temporary dermal fillers which are comprised of materials that are readily absorbed by the body over the course of a few months, Artefill’s unique microsphere-enhanced collagen delivers a lasting solution for patients. The microspheres contained in Artefill are not absorbed by the body and provide the support the skin needs for long-lasting, natural feeling wrinkle correction.

Artefill was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in October 2006. The product’s efficacy and safety profile have been validated through many clinical trials pre- and post-FDA approval and over 20,000 patients have been treated with Artefill since it’s introduction to the U.S. market.

A prospective five-year study of 1,000 patients is currently being conducted to evaluate the long term safety of Artefill.
