Suneva Medical, Inc. is a privately held medical technology company focused on developing, manufacturing and commercializing novel, differentiated aesthetic products for the dermatology, plastic and cosmetic surgery markets.

The Company was formed in April 2009 and is backed by Cowen Healthcare Royalty Partners, a global healthcare private equity firm with $1.2 billion in capital under management. Cowen Healthcare's investment strategy is to make long-term investments in unique and promising healthcare products and companies. The firm has a proven track record of success.

Artefill® is Suneva Medical's first commercial product. Suneva manufactures, sells and distributes a long lasting injectable wrinkle filler under the name Artefill in the U.S. and Bellafill™ in Canada.

Suneva Medical's proprietary platform technology is based on formulations of microsphere-enhanced collagen. Artefill and Bellafill utilize this technology and are approved for the correction of nasolabial folds, better known as smile lines. The platform also has broad therapeutic applicability in the dermatology, plastic and cosmetic surgery markets and is being studied in other indications.
